Our tables in Gordes

Restaurants in Gordes: three tables, three moods.

A short stroll, a good table and the pleasure of walking home. Here are three village addresses we like to recommend to our guests, depending on the mood of the evening. All about ten minutes from the house. You choose, we book.

01 The village bistro

La Trinquette

In a pedestrian lane below La Bastide, a few tables overlook the valley. At this address selected by Gault & Millau, you come for a glass of local wine and plates to share. And when the evening is mild, you linger on the terrace, just for the pleasure of making the night last.

Cooking
Provençal bistro and wine bar: tapas, regional wines
When

Our adviceThe table for easy evenings: walk down, take the terrace over the valley, walk back without watching the clock.

02 The summer terrace

Beefbar Gordes

On the terrace of the Gordes palace hotel, summer evenings take on a festive air. Meat over fire, plates to share and a view over the valley in the last light of day… Then the DJ sets the tone. Our address for the nights you want to make last.

A table in the village, an evening to savour

The pleasure of going on foot.

7:30 pm — an easy start

About ten minutes on foot along the route de Murs. The day visitors drift away, the lanes grow quiet again and the evening light softens the valley.

At the table, take your time

Your table is waiting, we have booked it. An aperitif, the pleasure of choosing, a conversation that runs on… Tonight, nobody is driving.

Back at your own pace

You find the gate again, then the calm of the park. And if you still feel like staying up, the evening gently carries on in the garden.

Tell us what you fancy at breakfast or before you arrive: we book your table.

Practical questions

Before booking a table.

Can you have dinner in Gordes without a car from Villa Hautvallon?

Yes — it is one of the advantages of the house: our three tables are in the village, about ten minutes on foot along the route de Murs. You walk down to dinner and back up under the pines, without getting behind the wheel again.

Do you need to book restaurants in Gordes?

In season, yes: La Trinquette is a small room, and the tables at La Bastide are booked ahead. Tell us what you would like when you arrive (or before): we book for you.

Is Beefbar open all year?

No — it is La Bastide’s summer table, in the evening, from June to October. The next season opens on 22 April 2027. Out of season, La Trinquette and La Table de la Bastide (until late October) take over.

Where can you have lunch during your stay?

Lunch is available at the villa, by the pool. And a basket from the Tuesday morning market makes a very good lunch in the garden.
